Embrace Your Zone of Genius
Part of aligning your business with your reality is to recognize your unique strengths, skills, and personality traits. Work on leaning into them to make a positive impact in your career and find the fulfillment you’re looking for.
Personally, I have spent years discovering my zone of genius and it’s tremendously impacted my business for the better.
In business, it’s important to honor where you’re at, even when it’s difficult, and embrace your strengths and personality to create a business that truly serves you.
One example of something that might be in your zone of genius is creativity. Maybe you need creative energy to feel like your values are aligning with your business.
It’s important to explore different aspects of your strengths and interests to find alignment with your career goals.
Navigate Career Transitions
If you don’t have a clear vision for your career path, that’s okay. Business is forever changing. Here are 3 tips for navigating career transitions:
- Embrace Change: Your business and life and always changing. The best thing you can do is to learn to embrace change so you can honor your life and business, no matter what’s changing around you.
- Pivot: Sometimes, you need to pivot in your nutrition business. Take a step back and think about areas where you might need to pivot to make sure your business is aligning with your values.
- Honor the Season: In the ever-changing world of business, it’s also important to honor the season of life that you’re in. Be present where you are, and be grateful for the business you have built.

Use Jealousy as a Guide
There tends to be this negative connotation surrounding jealousy. But I’m here to tell you that it isn’t necessarily negative.
It can provide wonderful insights into your desires and aspirations.
Next time you feel jealous, reflect on why you feel jealous and look at what it reveals about your own goals.
Part of getting your reality in line with your vision is actually fully understanding your goals, aspirations, and vision for the future. That doesn’t mean you need to have a super clear vision all the time, but when you notice something that you’re a little jealous of, write it down and let it guide you in the future.
Build a Supportive Network
Surround yourself with people and environments that lift you up and offer diverse perspectives.
Building a network of colleagues, mentors, and peers can provide encouragement, fresh ideas, and valuable feedback.
Additionally, engaging with diverse environments and viewpoints not only broadens your understanding but also encourages creativity, helping you plan your vision.
Navigating a Vision Beyond Reality
It’s a normal experience of being a business owner to feel stuck in your career, despite achieving your initial dreams.
It’s important to acknowledge when something feels off and learn to lean into that discomfort.
As a business owner, you have permission to be in this position. It’s okay to be uncertain about your next steps.
Embracing the uncertainty can lead to valuable self-discovery that propels your business forward. You’re constantly learning from your mistakes and failures in business.
How to Balance Personal & Professional Growth
Having ambitious goals while owning a nutrition business can be really challenging at times. Especially when you’re juggling personal responsibilities like raising a family and managing a flexible work schedule.
It’s normal to have this internal conflict of balancing your professional aspirations and personal fulfillment. It’s hard to navigate the complexities of everything in life and business.
A few of the best things you can do to help with this challenge are to consistently reflect, prioritize self-care, and have boundaries in place that protect both your personal life and your work life.
Learn to Navigate the Entrepreneurial Challenges
As we’ve mentioned, there are so many challenges of being an entrepreneur, including the constant changes and the balance between work and personal life.
Learning to navigate these challenges is key to feeling fulfilled and successful in your business.
When challenges come up, take a step back and remember your vision. Make the changes and pivot when needed to find that balance, and work towards getting your business reality in line with your vision.
