Private practice is the start of an amazing foundation for your business.

As a successful business owner, you've refined your skills, achieved client results, and envisioned ways to make an even bigger impact.

You have developed valuable content, started systems (even if you don’t have them written down!), and are running a real business.

But you…

  • Might not feel that excited about your work.
  • Might feel burnt out or headed in that direction.
  • Want more freedom but feel like it’s not possible.
  • Might even feel “Is this worth it?”

It's time to enter the LEAD stage of business.

Doing everything in your business isn’t impressive.

It’s not sustainable, not flexible, and you won’t have freedom.

You don’t want to work MORE than a full-time job within your own business.

As a clinician, you cannot build a private practice alone.

You need support in order to prevent burnout.

  • Who Will You Hire?

Decide who to hire by focusing on the tasks that will give you the greatest return on investment while staying within your budget.

From client care and admin support to marketing, IT, or even personal help at home, you’ll learn how to prioritize responsibilities and determine whether a contractor or employee is the right fit.

  • Create a Job Description

Create a job description that goes beyond a list of tasks and defines what success in the role truly looks like.

You’ll outline outcomes, non-negotiable skills, and compensation while making decisions about contractor versus employee status to ensure the role supports both your business and your long-term goals.

  • Example Job Descriptions

  • Example Interview + Reference Questions

You’ll gain confidence by using example interview and reference questions that take the guesswork out of the process.

These examples will guide you in asking meaningful questions that reveal a candidate’s skills, values, and fit for your business so you can make hiring decisions with clarity

  • Make an Offer!

Making an offer is an exciting milestone that shows all your hard work has paid off.

You’ll learn how to confidently extend an offer, communicate your enthusiasm, and set clear expectations while remembering that finding the right fit matters more than hiring quickly.

Onboard Your New Team Member

Onboard Your New Team Member

Onboarding your new team member is about much more than paperwork, it’s about shaping the culture and foundation of your business.

From setting clear expectations and supporting growth to handling HR considerations and tough decisions with professionalism, this stage helps you step fully into your role as a confident leader.

  • Onboarding a Team Member

Onboarding is your chance to set the tone as a leader and create a strong foundation for your team.

You’ll learn how to build clarity, set expectations, and foster relationships that support both your business and your team’s success.

Taking time to understand them will help you lead with confidence and create a strong foundation for your team.

  • Employee Assessments

Employee assessments help you track progress and support your team’s growth over time.

By setting 30/60/90 day goals and scheduling regular check-ins, you’ll create clarity, celebrate wins, and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Letting Go or Firing an Employee

Letting go of a team member is one of the hardest parts of being a CEO, but it’s sometimes necessary to protect your time, energy, and business culture.

Communication, documentation, and following established processes are essential to handle the transition with clarity and professionalism.

A Personal Note from Jennifer

I've worked with the most empathetic, compassionate clinicians in the world. We care deeply about our clients and our team members. As your business grows, challenges arise that require you to LEAD with courage.

I know firsthand the fears and doubts that come with expanding your team. When I first considered hiring, I was already feeling burnt out and overwhelmed. The thought of adding more to my plate was overwhelming. Maybe you're feeling the same way – or perhaps you already have a team but don't feel like a "legit" leader yet.

That's exactly why I created this team toolkit. It's the toolkit I wish I had when I was navigating the transition from solo practitioner to confident leader.

A Vision for Our Industry

I'm passionate about helping private practices thrive because I believe in the power of our work. When health and nutrition professionals have the support they need to grow sustainable businesses, we can collectively make a bigger impact on health and wellbeing.

your questions answered!

Who is the Lead Your Team Toolkit for?Expand

The Team Toolkit is designed for dietitian business owners in the GROW or LEAD stage of business.

You could be growing a private practice and getting ready to hire soon, or already have a team.

This toolkit will help you design a business organizational chart: a visual blueprint that illustrates the structure of the organization, highlighting key departments and their roles in driving the business forward. You will know when to hire and the process for hiring. You will also get insight into the process of onboarding a new team member, evaluating their job performance, and how to make informed decisions to support their growth and the growth of the business.

Is this for group private practice owners?Expand

YES! In fact, about 75% of the professionals who have been through this curriculum were group practice owners looking to streamline and elevate their businesses.

Whether you’re aiming to refine and strengthen your current group practice or pivot toward new offers, the Lead Your Team Toolkit is designed to meet your needs. This program is ideal for those building practices with other professionals working with clients, offering tools and strategies to support your growth.

With this toolkit, you’ll gain access to essential resources like:

  • Templates for crafting job descriptions
  • Interview questions and support to help you hire the right team members
  • Welcome letters for onboarding staff
  • Tools to navigate the ongoing relationships you have as a leader with your team

It’s your guide to running your practice like a true CEO—equipping you with the systems, leadership skills, and confidence to manage a thriving group practice.

How do I know this is the right time for me to hire for my business?Expand

People ask me all the time, “I don’t know if this is the right time for me to hire?” And, “How do I decide if I should hire someone now and later?”

My answer is always the same: There is never a perfect “right time” to do anything in your business. Especially right now, when things feel really unpredictable.

I teach hiring and leadership as a learned skill. Who you hire and for what tasks will change depending on the market, your boundaries, and the return on investment. Business owners are all different and have different needs.

The key is to take the first step as an experiment. With this toolkit, you will learn what needs priority in your business, and how to craft that job description and get it out to see who applies. As the business owner, you get final say in offering any team member a job.

What exactly is included in the Toolkit?Expand

You can see a behind-the-scenes video here.

The curriculum is also included on this page (click through the different themes to see what's included).

Do you offer any refunds?Expand

Because the content is downloadable right away, refunds are not available for any programs. I am confident that these programs will deliver results for you if you put in the work for your business.

As a side note: I believe that as a business owner, YOU should not offer refunds either.

Does this include legal documents?Expand

No, I am not a lawyer. While we give you hiring templates and guidance, we always recommend having legal documents (like contracts) reviewed by your own attorney.

I have another question!Expand
