To Pursuing Private Practice's Virtual Retreat!
KEEP YOUR CLIENTS COMING BACK
When so many business coaching programs
focus on marketing and sales,
we know there’s more to building a successful business.
That’s why this virtual retreat focuses on what it really takes to grow your business
A thoughtful experience for your clients
Skillful counseling abilities
Supervision for YOU as the clinician
When your private practice is full of clients that keep coming back,
your business is successful AND
your clients experience the impact of the work that you’re doing together.
At this retreat, you’ll understand how three things can
make or break your private practice.
These three things will help you build your business AND create a sustainable foundation to grow and scale your business.
How the client's experience in the customer journey of your business can make a huge difference with conversion rates and retention.
Why counseling, not education, is the key to helping clients make long-term changes.
How supervision helps you become a more effective and confident counselor.
Learn The Strategies That Will Grow Your Private Practice AND Support Your Clients… so they keep coming back!
In this workshop you’ll learn:
How to market so that your ideal clients find and sign up with your business services
How calming the chaos of making appointments, completing forms, and collecting payments lets you and your clients focus on working together
What to do in challenging situations (like charging for no-shows!), and how to make decisions that align with your values
Why moving away from nutrition education to nutrition counseling is a game-changer for you and your clients
To have confidence in your counseling skills so that your clients move forward in their food and body acceptance journey (and that it’s OK to not have the “right” answers)
Include supervision in your process so you can handle those sticky situations with grace
The things you learn in this retreat will help keep your clients coming back again and again.
Imagine having 10 clients returning for 10 (or more!) sessions. This is MUCH easier than having 50 clients come for 2 sessions.

About Pursuing Private Practice
Pursuing Private Practice is on a mission to empower non-diet dietitians to start, grow, and scale a business rooted in a weight-inclusive philosophy.
We’re leading the field of dietitian business coaches because not only do we provide business coaching, but we also help dietitians become better counselors.
There’s a huge difference between educating people (which is what we’re taught in school) and counseling. Counseling is listening to your clients and developing a counseling journey that meets their needs.
We also provide supervision which helps you work through any issues that come up in your counseling sessions including, “is this in my scope of practice?”, “Should I charge a cancellation fee?”, “Am I serving my client best?”, and “I just don’t know what to do”. Trust us, we’ve heard it all and are ready to support you.
About your hosts
Hi, I'm Jennifer McGurk! I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), Certified Eating Disorders Specialist, a Clinical Supervisor (CEDS-S), and dietitian business coach.
When I started my private practice, there were no simple resources. There was no roadmap of what to do. I spent hours on Google, I read business books, and I talked to a few close mentors. When I was finally “ready” to open, I pushed it back for another FULL YEAR because I couldn't settle on a “perfect" business name. Was it really about the name? No. Was it anxiety and fear? Yes!
Fast forward to today... I've been in private practice for over 10 years. Getting to make an impact with the clients who I can help the most is the best part about private practice. But there's more… flexibility over my schedule, control over the work that I do, and more money is pretty amazing. But it’s not all celebrations all of the time… there are hard moments and challenging situations. I have “failed” at a lot of things, but those “failures” led me to the next step. I can honestly say private practice is worth the hard work.
I believe that if you have the passion and drive to help your clients, you can learn the business skills and manage the high highs and the low lows. And I’ll be here for you every step of the way!
